Construction Progress
<\/strong>Construction work has begun on the medical care center at the Luitpold Barracks in Dillingen an der Donau. This marks the start of the first phase of a complex comprising the medical care center, a housing building, and a support and service building. Completion of the complex is scheduled for 2030.<\/p>\n

New Projects
<\/strong>We are pleased to have been awarded the contract for the construction of identical buildings to create all-day school infrastructure at four elementary schools in Braunschweig. In a joint tender process, we were able to convince the client\u2014in a bidding consortium with MPRDO Architects from Munich\u2014with our design concept for a sustainable hybrid structure using prefabricated timber construction with large-format modular facades.<\/p>\n

Office Field Trip
<\/strong>As part of an office excursion, a group of our employees visited Brillux GmbH & Co. KG in M\u00fcnster. During the visit, they gained insights into the production processes of Germany\u2019s leading manufacturer and full-range supplier of paints, coatings, plasters, and thermal insulation systems. The excursion was rounded off with a two-hour seminar on specialized training.<\/p>\n

Competition
<\/strong>Competition entry for the new construction of an elementary school in Hart bei Graz, Styria (Austria). The competition design calls for three two-story structures arranged perpendicular to the slope. The buildings are connected on the ground floor, creating a clear structural unity. The gaps between the structures are intentionally left open so that the landscape can flow through and blend harmoniously with the architecture.<\/p>\n

Architecture Orientation Week
<\/strong>As part of the orientation week organised by the Department of Architecture at TU Braunschweig, we welcomed a small group of first-year students today and gave them a tour of our offices. As every year, the visit serves to provide first-year students with information and an initial insight into the practical side of the profession. Competition entry
<\/strong>EU open competition for the new construction of the “New Ales South Bohemian Gallery” in the city center of Budweis, Czech Republic. The gallery houses an extensive collection of around twenty thousand works of art: Paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, ceramics and porcelain. This makes it one of the five largest art collections in Bohemia.<\/p>\n

Office excursion
<\/strong>Our annual office excursion took us to S\u00f8nderborg in Denmark in September and then to L\u00fcbeck. During a guided tour of the Petersen Tegl A\/S brickworks, we gained interesting insights into the production of water-struck bricks by machine and by hand. During a city walk through L\u00fcbeck’s old town, we learned about the historical and current architecture in L\u00fcbeck. Among other things, the “Gr\u00fcndungsviertel”, the largest urban development project in the old town, was on the agenda.<\/p>\n

Topping-out ceremony<\/strong>
The topping-out ceremony for the Quartier an den G\u00e4rtnerh\u00f6fen in Braunschweig took place on September 11th. On behalf of HANKE Bau- und Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft GmbH, we are preparing the implementation planning for the construction project of Baugenossenschaft Wiederaufbau eG. In the west of Braunschweig, 7 buildings with a total of 102 apartments are being built above a shared underground garage.<\/p>\n

On-site visit in Thailand<\/strong>
In the Pinthong Industrial Estate (Pinthong 3), approx. 1.5 hours’ drive south of the capital Bangkok, the new production halls of SHANGHAI KEN TOOLS CO., LTD. are being built on a total area of approx. 60,000 m2. SSP is providing support with the overall planning and is responsible for the design of the facades.<\/p>\n

Delegation trip
<\/strong>The Sino-German Ecopark is intended to serve as a demonstration zone with a global model function. It is intended to act as a magnet for international companies in the high-end industry and promote international cooperation for ecological and sustainable development. The project focuses on the integration of environmentally conscious technologies and standards in the areas of environmental and energy technology, the automotive and supplier industry, automation, the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries as well as improved standards in the services sector. Among other things, the agenda includes a possible cooperation between SCHNEIDER + SENDELBACH Braunschweig and SSP Shanghai in the development of social real estate in the Ecopark (senior citizens’ residence \/ nursing home), as well as the expansion of the existing West Coast Vocational School into a training academy for nursing staff in accordance with German standards (dual training system).<\/p>\n

Visit to the trade fair\u200b<\/strong>
The International Trade Fair \u00bbarchitect@work\u00ab was held in Hamburg for the first time in Germany on 13 and 14 September. The fair offers more than just an exhibition. Architects, developers, investors and interior designers are invited to use the fair to exchange experiences, make contacts and find out about current trends in architecture. Some colleagues took the opportunity to travel to Hamburg on 14 September to participate in the fair.<\/p>\n

Project start<\/strong>
We are pleased to announce the start of planning for a new project. The listed building complex \u00bbKnechtsche Hallen\u00ab, which was built between 1905 and 1918 in Elmshorn, is being redesigned for the future use of student apartments and a boarding house. The ground floor is to be used for cultural events. Until the early 1950s, the building was used for leather production by Joh. Knecht & S\u00f6hne.<\/p>\n

Topping-out ceremony<\/strong>
After a good year of construction, Bavaria’s Minister of Construction Christian Bernreiter, Lord Mayor Dr. Christian Moser, TH Vice President Prof. Waldemar Berg, the Managing Director of the Student Union, Doreen Steudte, and the Head of the Passau State Building Authority, Norbert Sterl, today celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new extension to the refectory of the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences together with the architects and the construction companies involved. The number of seats had to be increased to accommodate the growing number of students. In future, the refectory will have 376 seats instead of the previous 250.<\/p>\n

Office excursion<\/strong>
As part of our New Year’s reception this year, the office went on an excursion to Bielefeld and Amsterdam. In Bielefeld, we visited the Sch\u00fcco company. A guided tour of the products and machines showroom in the Welcome Forum and a visit to the New Sch\u00fcco One were on the programme.
\nThen we went on to Amsterdam with an overnight stay on the IJburg and a subsequent architectural tour on the subject of new housing development on the IJburg.<\/p>\n

Project presentation<\/strong>
The Regio Kliniken in Elmshorn and Pinneberg with more than 2,400 employees are to be merged under one roof in the future. Both municipalities are bidding for the location of the planned central clinic. On 17.01.2023, the overall concept was presented to the city of Elmshorn at a press conference. In cooperation with the office M.R Architekten from Berlin, our office developed the urban planning and architectural part of the application.<\/p>\n

Construction progress<\/strong>
The construction work for the extension building of the L\u00f6ns secondary school in Einbeck is progressing according to plan. The shell of the ground floor has been completed and the supports for the first floor are already in place.
