Start of construction
Start of construction in the Gärtnerhöfe neighbourhood in Braunschweig. On behalf of HANKE Bau- und Projektentwicklungsgesellschaft GmbH, we are preparing the implementation planning for the construction project of Baugenossenschaft Wiederaufbau eG. Seven buildings with a total of 102 flats are being built above a shared underground car park.

Start of construction
The shell construction work for the extension building 26.3 of the Institute of Aeroelastic has begun. A new office building for around 35 employees is being built at the Göttingen site of DLR, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt e.V. The construction work is being carried out by the company Hermanns HTI-Bau from Kassel.

Visit to the trade fair​
The International Trade Fair »architect@work« was held in Hamburg for the first time in Germany on 13 and 14 September. The fair offers more than just an exhibition. Architects, developers, investors and interior designers are invited to use the fair to exchange experiences, make contacts and find out about current trends in architecture. Some colleagues took the opportunity to travel to Hamburg on 14 September to participate in the fair.

Project start
We are pleased to announce the start of planning for a new project. The listed building complex »Knechtsche Hallen«, which was built between 1905 and 1918 in Elmshorn, is being redesigned for the future use of student apartments and a boarding house. The ground floor is to be used for cultural events. Until the early 1950s, the building was used for leather production by Joh. Knecht & Söhne.

Topping-out ceremony
After a good year of construction, Bavaria’s Minister of Construction Christian Bernreiter, Lord Mayor Dr. Christian Moser, TH Vice President Prof. Waldemar Berg, the Managing Director of the Student Union, Doreen Steudte, and the Head of the Passau State Building Authority, Norbert Sterl, today celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the new extension to the refectory of the Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences together with the architects and the construction companies involved. The number of seats had to be increased to accommodate the growing number of students. In future, the refectory will have 376 seats instead of the previous 250.

Architecture Day
At this year’s Day of Architecture, our office invites all interested people to a guided tour of the Open Mobility Lab at Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel. Tours will take place at 11.00, 13.00 and 15.00. Further information can be found on the page of the Chamber of Architects of Lower Saxony.

Office excursion
As part of our New Year’s reception this year, the office went on an excursion to Bielefeld and Amsterdam. In Bielefeld, we visited the Schüco company. A guided tour of the products and machines showroom in the Welcome Forum and a visit to the New Schüco One were on the programme.
Then we went on to Amsterdam with an overnight stay on the IJburg and a subsequent architectural tour on the subject of new housing development on the IJburg.

Project presentation
The Regio Kliniken in Elmshorn and Pinneberg with more than 2,400 employees are to be merged under one roof in the future. Both municipalities are bidding for the location of the planned central clinic. On 17.01.2023, the overall concept was presented to the city of Elmshorn at a press conference. In cooperation with the office M.R Architekten from Berlin, our office developed the urban planning and architectural part of the application.

Construction progress
The construction work for the extension building of the Löns secondary school in Einbeck is progressing according to plan. The shell of the ground floor has been completed and the supports for the first floor are already in place. With this extension, the school will have three more classrooms, rooms for communal use and additional space for administration.

New medical clinic »NMK« of the University Hospital in Tübingen on the Schnarrenberg.

Construction progress
The construction work for the extension of the refectory of the TH Deggendorf is progressing. The supports for the elevated building have been completed.

New projects
We are pleased to have been awarded the contract in the VgV procedure for the construction of a new medical supply centre and accommodation building for the Luitpold Barracks in Dillingen.

Work in progress
The extension and renovation of the refectory at the TH Deggendorf is entering the realisation phase. The foundation work began at the end of May.

Architectural competition
A new housing design fort the residential area »An den Eichen – Garbsen«, in collaboration with Planungsgruppe Grün der Zeit – Landschaftsarchitekten.
